Discussion 1

Hello, my name is John Geoghegan. I am a senior here at SJSU, majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Military Science. I am in the Army ROTC program, soon to be commissioning as a Second Lieutenant Officer in the United States Army. There are three semesters left until I graduate. I do my best to stay involved with school and am currently the President of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Last semester was my first semester in the upper GE courses for this major. I took COMM100W and COMM101C, both good classes that I am glad to have behind me.
My goals for this class are to obtain an A in the class, learn how to use a blog, and complete all assignments on time. I hope to learn from my fellow classmates as well as leave them with more knowledge at the end of the semester. Small group communication is a form of communication that happens in everyday life in the most common instances. I am very curious in the mechanics and theories involved with it, and seek to learn more about it through this class.
